General Purpose

Ensures that the costs for the company's products & services are allocated according to corporate procedures & in compliance with Financial Accounting Standards. Oversees the cost control systems, manages & intreprets cost audits, and prepares cost accounting reports for top management.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

•Assist the Operations Financial Controller in updating and applying company policies and procedures.
•Assist the procurement team in preparing the material prices for the budget and the forecasts.
•Contribute to discussions and reviews conducted during yearly audits.
•Ensure a proper product cost breakdown includes material costs, direct and indirect labor, and overhead costs.
•Ensure accurate product costing by the SKU, of both standard cost and actual cost, is updated in the SAP system.
•Ensure proper controls and analysis to the inventories and follow-up on actions to reduce the inventories.
•Ensure that there is an accurate recording of expenditure in the appropriate journals and ledgers.
•Measure and report the VE/VO initiatives and ensure proper tracking.
•Measure and report the performance of factory operations monthly by providing monthly variances analysis like the LIP and the volume absorption.
•Measure and report the procurement department's performance by providing the monthly PPV analysis.
•Prepare estimates of costs for NPD, to assist in establishing the prices of NPD.
•Provide granular analysis of the SKU actual cost vs. budget, forecast, and last year.
•Provide the COGS, materials, and MOH budget and forecasts by SKU, assuring all cost details are factored in.
•Run the monthly cost forecasts and ensure all targets are met.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience is required.

Skills/Qualifications

Ability to apply logical judgment to diverse, challenging situations.
Able to simplify complicated accounting matters, especially to the non-accounting professionals, and act with the business partner mentality.
Demonstrate management skills such as staff development, leadership, and control principles.
Outstanding skills in using MS Office packages, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Recognize the principles of internal auditing.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are a must.
