DCs Logistics Head - Last Mile

General Purpose

Lead and manage the end-to-end logistics operations across Beyti Depots and distributors, including warehouse management, dispatch operations, and secondary fleet management. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient daily execution of receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound distribution activities. It focuses on achieving high service levels, optimizing logistics costs, and maintaining inventory accuracy while ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Manage end-to-end DC's logistics operations, including warehouse activities, dispatch planning and fleet operations.
• Design and execute warehouse and dispatch strategies to optimize operations and support the achievement of sales objectives.
• Evaluate DC's logistics operational challenges and implement actions to mitigate risks while identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse and dispatch teams to foster a high-performance culture and drive accountability.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and productivity initiatives across Dc's logistics functions.
• Manage daily DC's logistics activities, including warehousing, dispatch planning and route optimization.
• Schedule and oversee the warehouse & disaptcher team to meet sales demands and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.
• Actively engage in setting up Dc's logistics business plan including warehousing infrastructure development, investment and expansion plans.
• Plan, schedule, and manage all dispatch activities to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Responsible for Improve operations procedures in DC’s to increase productivity, efficiency & cost control.
• Prepare Dc's logistics budget, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with company financial objectives.
• Monitor and control DC's logistics–related expenses, including warehousing, dispatching and handling costs, ensuring cost optimization and achievement of savings targets.
• Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements.
• Ensure high quality Logistics activities meeting ISO 9001:2015 & NAFSA Standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Planning, Quality, and Sales teams.
• Oversee all DC's warehouse activities: receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch operation.
• Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy (cycle counts, stock reconciliation).
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards

Experience / Qualifications

• At least 15 years of proven working experience in logistics.
• Ability to influence individuals and teams in order to achieve set or desired goals and objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
• Strong leadership talent, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Good commercial and business understanding.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
